The Burton Group, a leading advisory firm located in Bloomington, IN, is seeking a full-time Receptionist. This role provides administrative and client service support. We are seeking a client focused administrative professional who is a go-getter and can deliver world class service. We are looking for someone who is excellent on the phone and who easily builds relationships. This is an in-person position.

  • Receptionist Responsibilities:
  • Welcome, greet, and serve as the first point of contact for all clients
  • Schedule, manage and update all client and prospect appointments, including appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Direct calls, clients and other communications to the appropriate team member
  • Foster existing client relationships through processing client requests, resolving client inquiries and ensuring key client data and documentation is up to date
  • Onboard new client accounts through application review and the collection of documents
  • Follow up on pending accounts and provide updates to management
  • Email correspondence with clients both for advisor and for self
  • Enter client data into CRM when appropriate
  • Proactively participate in firm marketing and client retention efforts as directed by management
  • Run social media marketing efforts
  • Maintain and manage filing system in office

Receptionist Requirements:

  • 1-2+ years of administrative experience (Required)
  • Previous financial and or insurance services experience (Preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with social media and online marketing (Preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and take on tasks with minimal oversight/direction
  • Ability to maintain discretion regarding personal and industry-related matters
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
